Former Soho House and Battersea Power Station director joins our fast-growing development arm
Kevin Bundy has joined as a partner at MurrayTwohig Developments, growing our property development arm that specialises in delivering complex mixed-use sites in the UK.
With a career spanning over 20 years working for market-leading organisations in both ‘C’-suite and senior management roles, Kevin’s project experience includes working under both private equity and institutionally funded complex schemes.
He joins having recently been managing director for development at Soho House, where he delivered five new House openings in an 18-month period.
As head of the delivery of the power station phase, Kevin led on the sensitive restoration and redevelopment of the historic building, which has won a number of prestigious awards such as the World Architecture Festival, Building, New London Architecture and Architects’ Journal Awards.
At MurrayTwohig Developments, he will work alongside fellow key players from the Battersea Power Station redevelopment. UK and Europe director, Honor Fishburn, joined the business having spent seven years as Battersea Power Station’s director of placemaking.
Founded by William Murray and David Twohig six years ago, MurrayTwohig is born out of their shared vision of place-led development strategy, honed through their working relationship at Battersea, where David was both the chief development officer and head of design and placemaking and William advised on vision, place and branding strategy as Director of Wordsearch.
Since joining forces in 2018, our consultancy arm has provided place vision and real estate strategy on over 500 million sq.ft. of development with a project value in excess of $200 billion. In 2022 we launched our new development business, with a mission to bring a consultative, collaborative and values-led approach to help unlock complex sites, providing mixed-use regeneration projects that contribute positively. The combination of experience and expertise from development advisory work around the world has forged a commercially-driven, community-focused process that is the foundation of MurrayTwohig Developments – unlocking value, building support and simplifying delivery.
Kevin joins at a time of rapid expansion for the development business, having worked with the team to help secure unanimous support from Gosport Borough Council’s planning committee for the regeneration of their 42-acre waterfront site, Daedalus Waterfront. This regeneration of a historically significant naval base, the home of the Fleet Air Arm and the Interservice Hovercraft Trials Unit, is being delivered in a joint-venture with Orwell Real Estate, Patron Capital and Homes England.
Kevin Bundy, director, MurrayTwohig Developments said:
“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining MurrayTwohig Developments, jumping straight in on one of the country’s most exciting regeneration projects at Daedalus Waterfront whilst supporting business plans to grow the number of sites across the country. Having worked with the team previously, I look forward to delivering more exceptional places such as Battersea Power Station and now at Daedalus.”
Dave Twohig, co-founder, MurrayTwohig:
“With Kevin’s track record of delivery at the very highest level, we are massively expanding our capability – to create powerful, viable and popular visions, that we can now bring to life. As we’ve shown at Daedalus Waterfront, it’s an approach that works. We’re on the look-out for more sites and new opportunities where we can bring our global expertise and progressive approach.
“We believe that if we make places that people love, that contribute to their local area and that people find value in, then we will make more successful, more profitable projects. We are delivering this approach at Daedalus and having Kevin on board will boost our business plan to further expand our portfolio of mixed-use regeneration projects.”
